About the Role:

We are seeking an IFR Pilot qualified to operate our EC135/H135 aircraft for medical air transportation services. Our shifts consist of a 7-on/7-off schedule with 12-hour shifts available for day and night operations. Safety is our utmost priority, and we pride ourselves on a professional team committed to exemplary safety standards for both crew and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate aircraft in compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual, FARs, and company policies, prioritizing safety at all times.
  • Work closely with dispatch, medical teams, and ground personnel for seamless transport operations.
  • Perform pre-flight inspections, monitor weather conditions, complete flight planning, and ensure aircraft readiness for dispatch.
  • Maintain aircraft cleanliness and assist with routine housekeeping duties around the base.
  • Report any aircraft discrepancies or malfunctions promptly to the Communications Center and maintenance team.
  • Participate in aircraft upkeep, including wash and wax tasks.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including flight logs and manifests, in a timely manner.
  • Provide thorough shift change reports and adhere to company protocols for updating the change board.
  • Exemplify the REACH values and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate
  • FAA Helicopter Instrument Rating (Required)
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • 2,000 helicopter flight hours
  • 1,000 helicopter PIC hours
  • 1,000 turbine hours
  • At least 200 helicopter night flight hours (aided and/or unaided)
  • A minimum of 100 cumulative hours of instrument flight time
  • Must meet US Forest Service carding requirements:
    • 100 flight hours within the last 12 months
    • 50 hours in the EC-135
    • 200 hours mountain flying experience

Pilot Incentives:

  • Hourly position with a 35% geographical modifier to base pay
  • $5,000 IFR Stipend
  • $5,000 Lead Pilot Stipend
  • $15,000 sign-on bonus (subject to one-year commitment)
  • $40K Retention Bonus after 36 months under the GMR Pilot Retention Bonus Plan
  • 24-hour pilot housing provided
  • 7-on / 7-off schedule

Physical Requirements:

  • Must not exceed 230 pounds, including flight gear
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling required
  • Frequent lifting/moving of up to 70 pounds
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Must work near moving mechanical parts and in various weather conditions
  • Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, airborne particles, and in-flight vibrations
  • Noise levels may require wearing a headset

Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to make sound, time-sensitive decisions under pressure
  • Follow oral and written instructions precisely
  • Adapt to irregular schedules and changing operational needs

Previous experience with the Airbus EC135/H135 or similar aircraft is preferred but not mandatory.
