As an IFR Pilot, you will provide critical medical air transportation services while operating our EC135/H135 aircraft. Your schedule will consist of a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, along with 12-hour shifts serving day or night flights. Safety and professionalism are paramount, as you will be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the aircraft according to the Rotorcraft Flight Manual, FARs, and company guidelines, focusing on safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, medical teams, and ground personnel to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
  • Perform pre-flight inspections, monitor weather conditions, and complete thorough flight planning to ensure aircraft readiness.
  • Maintain aircraft cleanliness and assist with routine housekeeping duties at the base.
  • Promptly report any aircraft discrepancies or incidents to the appropriate teams.
  • Accurately complete required documentation such as flight logs and manifests.
  • Deliver comprehensive shift change reports while adhering to company protocols.
  • Embody the core values of REACH and maintain professionalism on and off duty.
  • Perform other mission-critical duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate.
  • FAA Helicopter Instrument Rating (required).
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2,000 helicopter flight hours, including 1,000 PIC hours and 1,000 turbine hours.
  • 200 helicopter night flight hours (aided and/or unaided) and 100 hours of instrument flight time.
  • Must meet US Forest Service carding requirements.

Pilot Incentives:

  • Hourly position with a 35% geographical pay modifier.
  • Structured bonus program including a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a 1-year commitment and a $40,000 retention bonus.
  • 24-hour pilot housing provided.
  • Employed under a convenient 7-on / 7-off schedule.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Weight limit of 230 pounds, including flight gear.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally perform physical tasks.
  • Capability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • Excellent vision and hearing abilities required for aviation tasks.
  • Adequate judgment and decision-making under pressure.
