Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate aircraft in accordance with regulations and company policies, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Coordinate closely with medical teams and ground personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections and maintain aircraft readiness.
  • Keep the aircraft clean and assist in light maintenance duties around the base.
  • Report any aircraft discrepancies promptly to management.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate and Helicopter Instrument Rating required.
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2,000 helicopter flight hours, including 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
  • 1,000 turbine hours with at least 200 night helicopter flight hours.
  • 100 hours of cumulative instrument flight time.
  • Must meet US Forest Service carding requirements.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
