What We Offer:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the aircraft in accordance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual, FARs, and company policies to prioritize safety and compliance.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, medical teams, and ground personnel for seamless transport operations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, monitor weather conditions, and ensure aircraft readiness.
  • Maintain aircraft cleanliness and assist in routine housekeeping at the base.
  • Report any aircraft discrepancies or incidents immediately.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork, including flight logs and manifests.
  • Provide detailed shift change reports and adhere to company protocols.
  • Exemplify the REACH values and uphold professionalism at all times.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate
  • FAA Helicopter Instrument Rating (Required)
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2,000 helicopter flight hours
  • At least 1,000 helicopter Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours
  • 1,000 turbine hours
  • A minimum of 200 helicopter night flight hours (aided and/or unaided)
  • At least 100 cumulative hours of instrument flight time
  • US Forest Service carding requirements: 100 flight hours in the previous 12 months, 50 hours in the EC-135, and 200 mountain time hours as defined by AIM

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • 230-pound weight limit, including flight gear
  • Ability to sit for extended periods frequently
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Frequent lifting/moving up to 70 pounds
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability under pressure
  • Ability to adapt to irregular schedules and evolving operational needs
