We're seeking a Lead Pilot (SPIFR) for multi-mission operations in the exciting field of air ambulance services!

As a key team member, you will take on the responsibility of providing critical medical air transportation services. We are offering a competitive starting salary ranging from $115,172 to $126,689, depending on experience, with additional expert incentives:

  • Lead Pilot Stipend: $5,000
  • Multi-Responsibility Stipend: $5,000
  • IFR Allowance: $5,000
  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 after training
  • Retention Bonus: $40,000 after 36 months in the GMR Pilot Retention Bonus Plan

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the EC135/H135 aircraft following the Rotorcraft Flight Manual, FAA regulations, and company policies with an unwavering focus on safety.
  • Ensure effective coordination with dispatch, medical teams, and ground personnel for seamless transport operations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, monitor weather conditions, and ensure aircraft readiness for dispatch.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the aircraft and assist with routine housekeeping duties at the base.
  • Report any aircraft discrepancies or incidents immediately to the Communications Center.
  • Participate in the upkeep of the aircraft, including washing and waxing as required.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork in a timely manner, including flight logs and manifests.
  • Provide detailed shift change reports and ensure proper updating of the change board.
  • Embody our core values and maintain a professional demeanor both on and off duty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate
  • FAA Helicopter Instrument Rating (Required)
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements:

  • 2,000 helicopter flight hours
  • 1,000 helicopter PIC hours
  • 1,000 turbine hours
  • Minimum 200 helicopter night flight hours (aided and/or unaided)
  • Minimum 100 cumulative hours of instrument flight time
  • Meet US Forest Service carding requirements, including:
    • 100 flight hours in the previous 12 months
    • 50 hours in the EC-135
    • 200 hours mountain time (as defined by AIM)

Pilot Incentives:

  • Hourly position with a 35% geographical modifier to base pay
  • $5,000 IFR Stipend
  • $5,000 Lead Pilot Stipend
  • $15,000 sign-on bonus with a 1-year commitment
  • $40K Retention Bonus after 36 months
  • 24-hour pilot housing provided
  • 7-on / 7-off schedule

Physical Requirements:

  • Weight limit of 230 pounds, including flight gear
  • Frequently sit for extended periods
  • Occasionally stand, walk, kneel, or crouch
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
  • Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
  • Work near moving mechanical parts and in various weather conditions
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and in-flight vibrations
  • Noise levels may require wearing a headset

Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to make sound, time-sensitive decisions under pressure
  • Follow oral and written instructions precisely
  • Adapt to irregular schedules and changing operational needs

Experience with Airbus EC135/H135 or similar aircraft is preferred but not required.
